Robert Emmett Hosty Jr. (1980-2008) left behind a certain magical stamp that is treasured by all those who are fortunate to have been permanently marked by something so wonderfully strange.

His life was too short. For those who knew him, the loss cannot be measured. Our lives will never be the same, so we must find a proper way to express what it was he meant to us.

We think that celebrating the things he loved and reminded us to love about life is a good place to start. So, a day of music and art it is. Robstock is the kind of event you can expect Rob to be at.

He would be jazzed to hear his cousin Molly Durand singing from her first album, with one song written by and one song a tribute to him. He would swell with emotion, pride and admiration to see his friends Andy Madden and Dan Schneider (et al) play music in his name. He would be in his element at a street fest outside Kevil’s, his favorite hometown haunt.

He would probably get his face painted. He would be bound to ask for a balloon. He would likely invite himself onto the stage and wind up leaving with a new guitar… He will certainly revel in being the icon.

Viva, Robstock. Viva, Roberto.
