FEATURING
Molly Durand
Molly Durand is a versatile performing artist based in Southern California. A graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, Molly is making a name for herself as a singer, actress, comedian and sketch artist by performing at some of the most legendary jazz spots, cabaret clubs and theater groups around the world. Molly’s diverse stage experience includes NYC’s Cleopatra’s Needle and Carnegie Hall; Chicago’s Second City, Orchestra Hall and Medina Temple; LA’s House of Blues, M Bar, CBS Studios and Universal Studios; and the Vatican in Rome. Her voice is a soulful blend of R&B and jazz with hints of influence from Broadway Show Tunes and the Classical, Rock & Roll, Folk and Tin Pan Alley music that has inspired her to sing from a young age. She recently directed an 18-member ensemble cast in Leads And Misfits, a showcase of original written works, at the Lyric Theater in LA. Amid putting the finishing touches on her debut solo album and staging another theater production, Molly can be found singing regularly at Green Door in Hollywood. Look for Molly’s first studio release, Rattle My Cage, due out in Summer 2010.

Kent Lambert
Roommate started out as a solo recording project of Kent Lambert. In 2004 a live Roommate band was formed in Chicago, with members including bassist Anton Hatwich, xylophonist/vocalist Dewayne Slightweight, banjoist "Uncle" Woody Sullender and musical saw player Evelyn Weston. The current Roommate band is Luther Rochester, formerly of Low Skies (Buchla Music Easel, percussion, vibes, moog), Seth Vanek (drums, vocals, vibes, moog) and Gillian Lisée of Fruit Bats and Califone (bass, vocals). The Celebs EP was reissued on Chicago's Fresh Produce Records in February 2006, and the first full-length Roommate album, Songs The Animals Taught Us, was released in April 2006 on Plug Research. A digital release of the New Steam EP followed in February 2007, and a limited edition 10" of the EP was released in June. We Were Enchanted, Roommate's second full-length album, was released in April 2008. Lambert’s recent film work includes Hymn of Recklessness, which explores themes of combat, torture and grief using images and sounds from the TV shows 24 and Lost, 1980s Nintendo games and various known and unknown films in a sequel (of sorts) to 2003’s Security Album.
The Race
Craig Klein (vocals, guitar), Alfredo Nogueira (guitar, vocals) Joshua Eustis (keyboard, vocals), Jeremy Parker (bass), Kevin Duneman (drums)
The Race Music is put together by a few good friends who love music and love technology. Why the name? We’ll it’s short for the human race changing music…the effect that Technology has had on Music – in particular that of technology that is electrified!
The Singleman Affair
Dan Schneider (vocal, guitar)
The Singleman Affair is the lush 60s psych-folk of Dan Schneider. Following in the footsteps of such artists as Skip Spence, John Martyn, Tim Buckley and Fred Neil, the Singleman Affair drifts through the hazy inner thoughts of rainy afternoons set to finger picked acoustic guitars, spiraling strings and haunting atmospherics. This is towering psychedelia at its proudest. www.myspace.com/thesinglemanaffair
ALSO FEATURING
Darling
Darling originally formed in 2003 around the songwriting of Jeff Schneider, and released their debut ep, Ground is Sound on Cardboard Sangria shortly after. A newly adapted trio version of the band still features Jeff's lilting melancholia, but improves its sonic attack when longtime friend Nick Voss and ex Pedal Steel Transmission drummer Don Ogilvie joined in 2006, adding a wider range of sounds and tightly focused rhythm section. Darling is a sweet and hopeful mix of Built to Spill and Modest Mouse inspired indie guitars, with a bit of the sixties pop group vocals sneakin' in.
The Des Plaines River Band
When a 3:00 a.m. bar just isn't enough, and your liver gives you a wink and a little smile and says, go on, I can handle it, you stumble to the nearest coach house stocked with beers and guitars... thus what was born as late night jam sessions has become a full time band consisting of family and friends. Blessed with a loyal and large following, the Des Plaines River Band (or the DRB by their fans) puts on a great live show with tons of energy as they rock out to classics by the Who, the Stones and the Beatles- plus some of their own jams too.
The Part V
Dark and dancy, garbled anthems angled from the two chord punch and riddled with Keith Moon insistency. This is post-something with a penchant for the sweeter melody, set to the confusion. The Part V (pronounced "five") is Chris Brantley, Brett Barton, and Gary Pyskacek, (all former members of the Pedal Steel Transmission at some point) bringing the pop hook to spazz-outs and spiraling 80's throb.
Rockfalls
The music of rock falls, singer/songwriter Annie Reese, exists in the first light of the day, when shadows are just becoming forms, and the world feels like it is rebuilding itself out of the night. Her hushed, soulful delivery belies a massive emotional power that smolders and lilts. Annie's voice can halt a room from behind a ukelele, guitar, or full band.
